beautiful coastal wedding at salishan resort in lincoln city or

When Chelsea contacted me to assist in coordination for her wedding, I was blown away by her proposal story! Being in the wedding industry, of course I love hearing about how couples have met and how thee question was popped. Chelsea shared that Tracy was responsible for one of the installations at Burning Man in Nevada: a giant rainbow entrance that guests could walk through on the way to all the festivities. Chelsea was asked to stand under the rainbow for a photo, but unbeknownst to her, Tracy had programmed the rainbow to pop the question in larger-than-life text scrawled across the screens. He then snapped a photo of her in front of it, then had her take a look for herself. How incredibly creative is that?! Being asked to be involved in a couple’s wedding day is the highest honor, and when I’m involved in epic love stories like these? Icing on the cake.

On an absolutely perfect day in May in Lincoln City OR, Chelsea and Tracy were married on the Oregon Coast. Surrounded by family, friends, and macarons that were handmade by the bride, this wedding had delicious details throughout!

Saturday morning started off bright and early with Chelsea and the bride tribe getting a head start on the day at a beach house nearby the property. While I oversaw set up at the Salishan Resort, the girls did hair, makeup, and laughed their way through the morning together. Side note: I was ecstatic when Chelsea sent me photos of her Martina Liana dress during her fittings — The White Dress PDX was an amazing experience for her, and I couldn’t wait to see her in it day of.

Chelsea and Tracy had their first date at Salishan, so it was an easy choice for them to choose this location as their wedding venue. Since they’d cultivated a longstanding relationship with the venue, the Salishan logo (a bonsai tree) was incorporated into their centerpieces. We utilized individual bonsai trees at each table with small glass orbs that housed tea lights for a soft glow.

After I got our little ring bearers squared away with their bouts, we made our way to the ceremony site. Chelsea and Tracy exchanged vows in The Glen, a small outdoor space on Salishan property. A friend of the groom’s, Jake, officiated. Chelsea was walked down the aisle by her Dad, holding a gorgeous bouquet designed by Petal to the Metal Flowers designer, Robyn Repp.

After the ceremony, all guests partook in a champagne toast to seal in good vibes for years to come. Guests moved to the ballroom for cocktail hour while the bridal party stole away for some epic outdoor shots courtesy of Christine with 27 Wonders Photography. The bride tribe outfitted themselves in different jewel-toned dresses of their choosing while the groomsmen and Tracy alike chose The Black Tux for their looks.

After photos, it was time to party! Chelsea and Tracy returned to their guests and everyone enjoyed an incredible buffet by the Salishan culinary team. Kiddos were well taken care of in their own “Kid Zone” featuring a special menu, coloring, games, and their own stash of macrons!

In the main ballroom, guests danced the night away with Rashad from Noteworthy DJs, and when it was time to “cut the cake”, Chelsea and Tracy bestowed the ultimate gift upon their guests: towers upon towers of macarons. As previously mentioned, these were handmade by the bride (who is a Pastry Chef by trade!)

Chelsea and Tracy, I could not have been more honored to have been a part of your big day. Thank you for allowing me to share in your love story!

Ashley was a dream to work with from day one! She is so detail oriented it naturally puts you at ease. Our kid friendly wedding (25 kids under the age of 11) was nothing short of perfect! The vendors where all managed by her so the day of our wedding neither my husband nor I had to worry about a thing. It was such an organized relaxed day thanks to Ashley. She made sure everything was put away at the end of the night so we had nothing to worry about at all. Ashley made our day practically perfect in every way!
