beautiful private residence wedding in happy valley or

Like most couples, Katie and Hall had planned a large celebration at a beautiful venue, only to be told that just wasn’t a possibility anymore. With a spacious backyard and home that lent itself to many a gathering back in the day, all it took was one site walk with myself, Jodi of Jodi Iverson Florals and Sherine of Vintage Meets Modern to set the ball rolling for a fabulous celebration.

Sherine’s new wooden cathedral arches were the perfect addition to decor for this event, and Jodi’s floral transformed them from arches to a beautiful, Coachella-worthy backdrop + altar.

Katie was very inspired by the “festival vibes” that celebrations are frequently giving off these days. Jodi incorporated pampas grass and completely transformed Katie + Hall’s backyard into one of the most stunning intimate weddings I’d ever seen. Even sweet Angel Bean was a part of the day in her floral collar.

No wedding is complete without sweets, and we were lucky enough to have Brandon and Chanelle of Lux Sucre on board to create an absolutely dreamy dessert table adorned in Jodi’s florals.

When it was time for Katie to walk down the aisle to her forever, all of her guests held their breath. There are weddings you’ll attend where guests are happy to see their friends happy, and there are weddings you’ll attend where the very soul and vibe of the day are present and elevated because the couple is so loved by their guests. This wedding was the latter.

Once the ceremony ended and the license was signed, it was time for another main event — Katie had surprised Hall with a special visit from The Wedding Llamas! We all headed out front under the guise of taking more photos and watched the joy unfold.

In the garage, Devil’s Food Catering was hard at work creating an amazing meal for guests. I cannot wait to partner with them on future events, as all guests raved about their presentation, plating, and how good everything tasted.

Watching Katie and Hall’s guests enthralled by the ceremony, tears streaming down their faces during toasts, and so many commemorative photos taken throughout the evening left me with #allthefeels.

Watching this day unfold was truly a joy to behold. I can’t describe how exciting it is to watch people love other people as deeply and as supported as Katie + Hall’s friends do and did that night. Such an honor to be a part of celebrations like this.

She helped pull my vision together above and beyond what we could have imagined. Everything was perfect and so magical. All of the vendors she suggested went along with all of our values. It was the perfect day.
