st agatha's church wedding + willamette valley country club reception
I always say that good things happen in September (I got married, husb was born, etc.), so when Nicole reached out saying they needed some assistance for their country club soiree, I was all in!
Nicole and Joe were wed at St Agatha’s church in PDX, after which guests traveled out to the Willamette Valley Country Club for a reception that had immaculate vibes well into the evening. I love working at Country Clubs because they are typically heavily staffed, ensuring that your guests have a truly seamless experience. Wherever you turn, there’s always someone there to ask how they can help, and this takes the pressure off of your planning team so we can focus on YOU and bringing your day to life.
After some of the sweetest toasts and heartwarming first dances, Jordan with Lit Productions opened up the dance floor and the party really began. Some of my favorite dance floor images came out of this wedding, as Nicole changed into her second look – a BHLDN mini that Joe had surprised her with after hearing that she tried it on and fell in love.
What I loved most about this wedding: Two things, honestly. Getting Nicole ready to walk down the aisle was one of the most heart-stoppingly gorgeous moments of my career. The doors closed after the last wedding party members went down the aisle, and Nicole and her Dad Cam stepped into position. We did the dress throw, ensured the veil was in tightly, checked Dad’s bout, etc. and stepped out of the way to open the doors. The accompanist switched at that moment from piano to organ, and the music filled every space in that chapel. It was an overwhelming sight to see all of her guests stand while the music swelled, and her take her first steps down the aisle. Pure magic.
